Smith Appointed Public Policy Director of National Association of Women Business Owner’s Houston Chapter
On June 28, 2018, NAWBO’S Houston Chapter welcomed a new board of directors and leadership team with the purpose of expanding women’s business and leadership platforms throughout the Greater Houston Area and the US. NAWBO’s mission is to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social, and political spheres of power worldwide.
Fondly known as “A Lioness At Heart”, Ms. Smith is a supporter of the MeToo Movement in Houston, campaign volunteer for several City Council campaigns in Houston, global humanitarian with her efforts to economically empower women’s indigenous economies in Ethiopia and Israel, founding The Global Mogul Center For Women’s Leadership And Development, ROAR Women’s Leadership Summit, Legacy Leadership Institute for Girls (providing STEM and entrepreneurship scholarships for girls), Girls Global Leadership Day (in concert with UN’s Day Of The Girl Child, and her volunteerism with women’s and children’s causes in Houston and globally.
Ms. Smith will lead the charge to lobby local government for policies that improve job equality and best-practices, build strategic alliances, coalitions, and affiliations, while transforming public policy and influencing opinion locally, nationally, and globally for the betterment of women.
